This eyeglass case is hand embroidered by women in Occupied Palestine. The design is inspired by the tatreez motifs from Palestinian cities and features a traditional fabric backing.
This is handcrafted by Manjel Ma’qoud, a women’s embroidery group we formed in January of 2024 in response to the increasing pressure Palestinian women are under due to the ongoing and increasing Israeli closures and suffocation of the Palestinian economy. These designs are only available through Handmade Palestine and through your purchase, we are supporting 80 women and their families.
*Please note there are inconsistencies from one piece to the next as this is hand stitched on a difficult fabric and work done by many different women so the angle and placement of the tatreez will vary.
