After we embroider crafts, there’s always extra thread. So, we took our “waste” and invited our women artisans to use any colors they wanted on the same design featuring traditional stitches. Thus, we created our Waste Not, Want Not Pouch! Embroidery on one side.
This hand stitching work is done by Manjel Ma’qoud, a group we began in December of 2023 in response to the desperate economic situation imposed on Occupied Palestine. In 2024 it provided income generation to more than 80 women.
